I argued with him for quite some time and I finally told him where to go and hung up the phone. He said if was for a separate subscription which we have never had and I didn't want. When I asked what the charge is that was going through he said $499.99 I told him I'm not paying another $500.00 on top of the $600.00 we just paid for our new Quickbooks back in March. So at this point he already verified he does work for QB so I (regrettably) gave him the information. He then says we need to enter it on his end. OK fine, so he walks me through but in the end says it's still not going through. I told him I wasn't going to give him any information over the phone and he said that's fine I can enter it into my desktop Quickbooks. This person also sounded like he was from India or another mid eastern country. I received a call today from a Quickbooks Rep with a blocked number saying the same thing, and that my credit card information was wrong or missing information. Likely robo-dialing and trying to make you think there's something wrong with your QB. The three times I've spoken with this "company" it has been individuals with a heavy Indian accent. I said remove our number, I just spoke to QB and they confirmed our account is fine so clearly you are not legit. He asked for more information, to which I declined. He fought with me about it, and I said I need to be taken off your calling list. I said I am definitely allowed to do that as long as I inform him of such. This time, the guy said I wasn't allowed to do that. I called this company back and informed them I was recording the call. Additionally, I just updated our company file with new CC info, as the previous card had expired. Everything is current, and there is no 'annual fee' as we pay for service monthly. I called QB again today and they confirmed our account is just fine. I said I would call QuickBooks and sort it out. This same company had called me about a week or two prior to this also giving me this same line. Our "annual" QuickBooks Desktop somethingsomething expired. He gave me the same spiel as others have posted. He gave me a phone number ending in #9213 - when you Google this number, a closed company in the midwest shows up. I told him I need a legitimate phone number for security purposes and that I would call back. "Jacob" from this company just called me. It is highly disturbing to me that they called me through the QuickBooks system when I requested a call! The charge on my card says qbsupport, which I will of course dispute. The phone number he is calling from is and the email after the call came from Robin at . I gave him my card number, called back shortly afterwards where a support person asked me to search the Intuit site for my transaction and it wasn’t there. I went along, partly curious and partly exhausted for the 1.5 hours and all the QBO headaches I’ve had. It turned out to be ‘Jason’ who had called the previous times requesting an update. He then transferred me back to the first guy, first explaining that I had to update billing on my annual fee. He even connected to view my screen using GlanceGuest. He helped and it was pretty muck like other calls but he did use a you tube video as an example I don’t know if that’s typical or not. I was on the phone with him for 1.5 hours. He offered help but transferred me to someone else he said could help me with my particular problem. I requested a call from QB support and when I got the call it sounded like the same guy who had been calling me.
